The best 25 BPs from all directorates under the direction of Walter Schuster qualified for a real dream trip.
We then flew via Taipei to the island state, which consists of over 7400 islands. Naturally, the group of elite salespeople landed in Manila and checked into the 5-star hotel “I’m” in keeping with their status. The participants will never forget the magnificent rooftop bar on the 32nd floor with its magical view over the city of 15 million people. This was followed by a tour of the city and an unforgettable dinner with the singing waiters and chefs of the in restaurant of the same name.
All participants agreed that the absolute highlight of the trip was the full-day excursion to the breathtaking area of the world-famous waterfalls. Using the simplest of canoes, our drivers not only had to negotiate rapids, but also push the boats over cliffs. An unprecedented adventure for many of the participants. Staying right next to a mighty waterfall was reserved for the very brave.
The second part of the trip then took place on the island of Cebu. Expectations were very high, as we were going to the unique Shangri-La! Here, too, the reality was even more beautiful than the imagination. A luxury resort at its best, with its own golf course, private beaches and every conceivable luxury you can imagine. Of course, as with every trip, there was a Green Finance Olympics with several disciplines.
The gala dinner on the last evening was the icing on the cake. An exclusive area was converted into an open-air restaurant and the participants were eye and ear witnesses to a private concert and an impressive fire show. More luxury is not possible!
Due to a longer stopover in Taipei/Taiwan, we also had a city tour of this vibrant metropolis with the world’s tallest building for many years, Taipei 101 (also the number of storeys), as well as the amazing night market.
This marked the end of an intensive and, for many of the participants, excellent trip, and as soon as they arrived on Monday at 7.30 a.m., many of them headed to the office motivated to complete their first appointments.
The participants were particularly pleased that our CEO Christian Schauer and his wife Julia stopped by in person for a few days and of course used the time to bring the group up to date on the GBC Vienna.
