On Saturday 18 May 2024, the first Schlössersingen took place in our Green Castle in Hantberg. We had the honour of hosting an audience of around 400 people.

The castle was officially handed over to Senior Business Director Walter Schuster, representing the Green Finance Group, in a ceremonial speech by our lady of the castle, Mrs Pscheidl. The traditional artillery band ‘VON DER GROEBEN’ then opened the event with their march-in. The ‘oafach g’sungan’ choir then took the guests on a musical journey with great enthusiasm for music. The audience was then able to hear young up-and-coming musicians and their music teachers demonstrate that traditional music can inspire not only the audience but also young people.

The Sängerrunde Pöllau also did us the honour and with their performance – which already brought them first place in the big chance of the choirs in 2016 – increased the already existing joy of the performances many times over. At the end of the programme, the traditional artillery band rounded off the day perfectly with their march.

The event ended on a cosy note with many personal conversations and a promise was made to all the musicians that we would continue to support the Schlössersingen as hosts in the future.
